Join artist Kate Simms to rediscover the joy of writing and illustrating a letter to a friend or loved one, using a variety of interesting drawing tools, inks and colours.

Who doesn’t remember the delight of receiving a handwritten letter? The love letters tied in ribbon, thank-you letters for birthday and Christmas presents and, not to mention, the holiday postcard from relatives long gone. These wonderful, treasured memories captured with pen and ink on paper.

Taking inspiration from Dora Carrington’s illustrated letters, we will be using pen and ink to craft words and images to create our own unique correspondence ready for posting. Take a break from the digital world of emails and social media, to send some magic through the post.

No writing or drawing experience required. Postage included.

If you have any further questions, or would like to discuss access needs, please do not hesitate to contact us.
